K5 Overview

February 17-20

UNIT: Presidents/USA

SIGHT WORDS: my, we, when

LANGUAGE ARTS: We will be working on Letter Xx. We will focus on the following skills: blending skills with x, introducing name, shape and formation of Xx, and reading words with the “Xx” sound.

FOUNDATIONS AND FRAMEWORKS: Compare and Contrast - Introduction.

MATH: Constructing 3 Dimensional shapes, ways to make five, and skip counting by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Practice tying your shoes!

We will go outside for recess and fresh air unless it is raining or below 32 degrees. Please dress your child appropriately and have them wear heavy coats, gloves, hats, etc.

Make sure to bring a snack and water bottle everyday.
