LOOKING FOR A SCHOOL IN CHATTANOOGA?
Independent schools in the Chattanooga area offer exceptional academic programs that prepare students for future success, and Brainerd Baptist School is no exception. We are glad you are taking the time to learn more about us! Finding a school for your children is one of the most important decisions that parents make in regards to their future. The high number of Chattanooga private schools makes the decision even more difficult!
WHY PRESCHOOL-5TH GRADE EDUCATION?
We are passionate about the education of young children. One of the main differences between a elementary school and a K-12 school is the simple fact that our focus is 100% on the education of young children. Important factors in your child’s education like curriculum, programs, schedules and instruction are all made with a focus on what is best for young children. The childhood and preteen years are critical to your child’s academic, emotional and social development. That’s why we believe that a preschool through 5th grade program provides the best atmosphere to prepare your child for future success. Our setting allows students to become leaders at a time when they need to learn those skills the most and are open to understanding the demands and responsibilities of being a leader. They learn this in many ways: by participating in sports teams, take center-stage in drama productions, learning to appreciate the arts, develop a love for serving others and our community and many more things as they develop. At the same time, they are still part of a community that includes preschoolers, which keeps them from growing up too fast, while allowing them to serve as role models to the younger children.
Our challenging academic curriculum lets them explore a variety of new subjects in a comfortable and familiar environment. By middle school, their strengths, learning styles and interests have coalesced, and our graduates tell us they feel prepared and are confident in themselves and their abilities to find their way at the next step. We also work closely with the schools that our students transition school to make sure our students are successful at the next stage of their education.
We are excited for you to see the great things that are happening at BBS. When you walk the halls of our school you will see teachers who are committed to life-long learning, children having fun while being engaged in learning, students using state of the art technology, and parents working in a partnership with the school. It truly is a special place. Brainerd Baptist School is committed to providing a top quality, accelerated education in a nurturing Christian environment. We look forward to seeing you soon!
We understand that finding the right school can turn into an overwhelming experience! Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible. Below you will see how the admission process at Brainerd Baptist School works. If you have any questions about the school or about the process, please feel free to contact us either by email or by calling 423-622-3873.
Tour the School – This is the most important step in the process. You will take a tour of our campus, meet with our Head of School who will share our philosophy of education and see what makes our school so special. Tours typically take about 1 hour. For families entering K3, K4, or K5 we prefer to do the tour in the morning hours so you can see the students in the classroom environment. We also recommend that children not attend the tour as we have a special time planned for them when they come to complete the screening process or on their shadow day (students entering 2nd-5th grades). Call (423-622-3873) or email to schedule.
Apply for Admission – Parents begin this process after they have completed a tour of the school. The process is all done online. Step by step instructions will be provided. Parents will pay the $75 application fee in this step.
