Before School Care is available from 7:00 AM until school begins at no additional charge. For safety reasons, students in K2 - K4 must be signed in by their parent/guardian. No student should be in the class or in the hallway before 8:00 AM.

If your child’s school day ends before yours, After School Care is available. There is a 15-minute window for pick-up, after which children automatically transition to ASC.

Daily Routine

• K-3 & Napping K-4 Students | Rest on their cots for a quiet nap.

• Non-napping K-4 Students | Enjoy quiet playtime.

• 3:00 PM | Kindergarten students who haven’t been picked up join ASC activities.

• After Snack | All children head outside to the playground.

• 3:30 PM | First graders join the playground fun.

• 2nd & 3rd Grades | Grab a snack before heading outside.

• 3:45 PM | 4th and 5th graders are dismissed to join activities.

Activities

• Outdoor play with friends.

• Indoor games, Legos, or other favorite activities.

• Movie time on rainy days.

NOTE: Occasionally, a child may cry at pick-up, but it’s usually just because they aren’t quite ready to leave!

End of Day

• 6:00 PM | ASC ends and all children go home happy, tired, and hungry.

Sign-In/Out and Fees

• BBS uses Brightwheel for ASC check-in and check-out. Parents create an account and use their PIN for pick-up.

• Cost is $7.00 per hour, invoiced weekly through Brightwheel.

Do I need to pack my child an extra snack if they are staying for After School Care?
No. All students receive a snack during After School Care.

Do I have to register my child to attend Before or After School Care?
No. Registration is not required for either Before or After School Care.

How does billing for After School Care work and who should I contact if I have concerns or questions regarding my invoice?

We bill every other week, so you will typically only pay twice a month. Here is how Brightwheel bills by grade:

Pre-K
• 1st Hour | 12:45–1:45
• 2nd Hour | 1:45–2:45
• 3rd Hour | 2:45–3:45, etc.
You will be billed $7 at the 45th minute of each hour your student is checked in.

K5
• 1st Hour | 3:00–4:00
• 2nd Hour | 4:00–5:00, etc.
You will be billed $7 on the hour for each hour your student is checked in.

1st & 2nd Grade
• 1st Hour | 3:30–4:30
• 2nd Hour | 4:30–5:30, etc.
You will be billed $7 at the 30th minute of each hour your student is checked in.

3rd–5th Grade
• 1st Hour | 3:45–4:45
• 2nd Hour | 4:45–5:45, etc.
You will be billed $7 at the 45th minute of each hour your student is checked in.

If my child only stays in After School Care for 30 minutes, am I still charged for the full hour?

Yes. The way Brightwheel bills is by the hour on the hour, not by the minute. We are happy to offer extracurricular activities for our students. Opportunities change throughout the year and this page will updated to reflect the most current offerings. Extracurricular activities are offered by outside entities and they will provide details for each class offering when contacted.
