The 8’s quiz will take place on Friday, February 27th. We will practice in class, but it is imperative that you also study at home.

Spelling: Students will have their spelling test over Unit 25 on Friday, February 27th. A spelling sheet can be found in the “Spelling” pocket of their THINK binder or in their Agenda for this week.

Language: We are starting our new unit on "Coordinating Conjunctions.” The test for this unit will be on Wednesday, February 25th. Your child will have the “Sketch Notes” paper in the "Language" pocket of their white binder to study.

Writing (Mrs. Adams): In writing class, the students are going to be working on their "Informative" Unit. They will also begin their Penguin Research for their Informative Essay.

Science (Ms. Richardson): The students will be continuing their unit on “Oceans.” The test for this unit will be on Tuesday, February 24th. They will also be dissecting starfish with this unit on Monday, March 2nd.

Social Studies (Mrs. Mercer): Students will finish their “Black History Month” Unit. Instead of a test on this unit, the students will complete a project in class

NOTES:

  • It can be cold in our classrooms. Please make sure that your child has an appropriate sweater, sweatshirt (BBS logo on the front) to wear in the classroom. ***Please make sure to label your child’s jacket/sweater/sweatshirt.

  • Due to rotations (Science, Social Studies, and Writing) going up to 3:00, we ask that they not leave earlier than that time. Of course, we understand if there are Dr. appointments.

  • Don’t forget to send in a snack and water bottle each day. Water bottles need to be screw on tops labeled with their name.

  • Please do not take things out of their binder pockets or “return” side without returning them. We will be using those items in class on a daily basis. This also includes interactive notebooks.
