  • Thank you to everyone that helped and participated in our BBS Online and Live Auction.  Auction items can be paid for and picked up in the school office between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Deadline to pick up your items is Friday, March 22.

  • Please check Lost and Found for any missing items.  Non-labeled items not collected by Friday, March 22, will be donated.

3rd Grade Overview

March 18-22

BIBLE:  3rd Grade did an awesome job leading chapel with Ms. Robinson this past week!

Our next Memory Verse will be Psalm 139:1, “Oh Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.” We’ll work on this Wednesday, March 20.

READING:  We will finish up our unit on Setting. The Skill and Vocabulary test will be on Wednesday, March 20. The Performance test will be on Thursday, March 21.

MATH: We will continue our unit on Area and Perimeter. We will be talking about finding area.

Multiplication: We will review all the multiplication facts.

LANGUAGE: We will begin to learn about Adverbs.

WRITING: We will finish our biography unit.

SPELLING: We will be studying Unit 29 words. The test will be on Friday, March 22.  You can log on to spelling city to practice: http://www.spellingcity.com/jkrobinson/.

SCIENCE: We will begin our new unit on Simple Machines.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will finish learning about the flag and the Star Spangled Banner. The test is on Thursday, March 21.

  • Chambliss Easter Party Service Project- April 15 from 8:30-11:00

  • Egg Drop - April 17 at 1:10 by the playground

  • AR PARTY - April 29 - Lookouts Baseball Game from 10:30 - 3:00

NOTES:

  • Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack each day.

  • You may want to send a sweater/school sweatshirt, as the rooms can be cold.

  • Don’t forget to sign your child’s planner every night. This lets us know that you have checked their homework.

  • Don’t forget to send in Box Tops!  Remember, 100% of the money comes back to our classroom.

  • If you have a planned vacation, please let us know at least two weeks in advance.
