Ellen Watson, Director of Development

Ellen graduated from Farragut High School in Knoxville, Tennessee, and went on to the University of Tennessee, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Elementary Education through the Dean’s Program. After graduation, she taught abroad in Wales for a term before moving to Chattanooga to teach 3rd grade at Big Ridge Elementary. In total, Ellen taught for seven years before joining Brainerd Baptist School in 2012.
Ellen and her husband, Clay, have two sets of twin daughters. Kate and Lydia (Ellen’s daughters) are alumnae of Brainerd Baptist School and Baylor School, and are now attending Wofford College and Samford University, respectively. Clayton and Kennedy (Clay’s daughters) are alumnae of Girls Preparatory School and currently attend Texas Christian University.
In her free time, Ellen enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling.
Ellen is deeply committed to Brainerd Baptist School and its mission. She believes the school offers something truly unique that sets it apart from any other.
