Dreamers Day 2024

Dear Parents,

As we approach MLK Day in January, we're excited to extend an invitation for a special volunteer opportunity that embodies the essence of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy.

From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024, the school communities of Brainerd Baptist, Bright School, St. Nicholas, St. Peter’s, along with the Creative Discovery Museum, will join hands to celebrate this meaningful day through acts of service and collaboration in an event called Dreamers Day. It's a time for our community to come together and honor Dr. King's vision for a better world.

Each school involved, including Bright School, St. Peter's School, St. Nicholas School, and Brainerd Baptist School, will host a table at the Creative Discovery Museum. At these tables, our fourth and fifth grade students and volunteers will engage visitors in community service activities, fostering a spirit of unity and giving back.

This event offers a valuable opportunity for children in the Chattanooga area to actively participate in meaningful activities that make a difference. It's a chance for them to embody the principles of compassion, unity, and service that Dr. King advocated for so passionately. More information about specific opportunities for students will be forthcoming.

We strongly encourage your family to attend and participate in Dreamers Day at the Creative Discovery Museum. Your involvement will not only contribute to the success of this event but will also instill in our children the values of empathy and communal responsibility.

Please spread the word among your friends and neighbors, inviting them to join this noble cause and make Dreamers Day a memorable and impactful occasion for our community.

We sincerely appreciate your support and commitment to nurturing the spirit of service in our children.

Warm regards,
