Dani Smith, 1st Grade Teacher

B.S. – Tennessee Technological University

Dani Smith was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated magna cum laude from Tennessee Technological University with a bachelor's degree in education in 2012. She has over ten years teaching experience in a wide variety of academic environments including public and private schools as well as a homeschool co-op. Dani loves that educating grants her the opportunity to point children toward our Redeemer. Helping students grow their love for Him and all God's creation brings her immeasurable joy. 

Dani’s favorite pastime is reading, preferably with a large cup of coffee in hand. She is married to her high school sweetheart, William. They’ve been blessed with two wonderful children, a son and a daughter. Both their children attend Brainerd Baptist School. As a family they enjoy hiking, playing with their dog, traveling, and Saturday morning donuts. They attend Citizens of Heaven Church.

One of Dani’s favorite Bible verses is Romans 15:13. 
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
