Abby Souder, 2nd Grade Teacher

B.S. – Belhaven University

Abby Souder was raised in Chattanooga and has spent the majority of her life engaging with children on a variety of platforms. From teaching dance camps, leading after school care, to her cognitive brain training work at a local learning center, Abby is passionate about the development, playful exploration, and growth of the future generation.

She graduated from Belhaven University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading and Fine Arts. In 2015 she began her teaching experience at Northwest Rankin Elementary (Jackson, MS) where she completed her student teaching in 2nd grade. She then went on to teach First Grade for the next 5 years at Signal Mountain Christian School. In 2021 she became the Kindergarten teacher for Foundations Preschool and Kindergarten where she not only taught but aided the administration staff with curriculum development and preschool aftercare.

When she is not teaching, Abby enjoys being outdoors on the Chattanooga Riverwalk, reading, exploring historical sites, and hiking with friends. She is a music fanatic and loves any opportunity to travel and explore.

She is excited for a fabulous year of adventure and growth in 2nd grade!
