M. Ed. - Liberty University
Zack is a Chattanooga native who attended Tennessee Temple Academy before earning a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Carolina University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
With a background in both classroom teaching and athletics, Zack brings energy, creativity, and purpose to his role in Christian education. Before joining Brainerd Baptist School in 2020 as a 3rd grade teacher, he previously taught at Barger Academy and Berean Academy. He has since transitioned into his current role as Athletic Director and PE teacher. Zack also coaches the boys’ basketball team at Brainerd Baptist, as well as softball at Boyd Buchanan School and with the Fury Platinum organization.
Zack is passionate about developing students physically, emotionally, and spiritually through sports and physical education. His approach centers on fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and Christ-like character while creating a learning environment that is active, inclusive, and growth-oriented. He incorporates active, student-centered learning to promote confidence, teamwork, and individual growth in every child.
Zack and his wife, Ashley, were married in 2023 and were blessed with their daughter, Ryleigh, in 2024. As active members of Citizens of Heaven Church in downtown Chattanooga, they seek to honor Christ in their home and community. Together, they enjoy family time, cheering on the Tennessee Vols, Atlanta Braves, and various Chattanooga sports teams—whether from the stands or their living room. One of Zack’s life verses is Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
