Scott grew up in Madeira Beach, Florida, attended private Christian schools, and later studied at Bryan College and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. After a 14-year career as an exercise physiologist in cardiac rehabilitation, he transitioned into education, earning his teaching credentials and M.Ed. He spent nearly a decade teaching and serving as an administrator in public schools before joining BBS in the 2021–2022 school year. Alongside his career in education, Scott has served in church ministry for nearly 25 years in roles including children’s and youth volunteer, youth pastor, and senior pastor. Scott and his wife, Amanda, are devoted to their family and members of Citizens’ Church. They have two children, Conner and Kenzie, and are enjoying an exciting season as their family celebrates significant personal and professional milestones. Scott and Amanda live in East Ridge, where they enjoy remodeling their older home and raising Siberian Huskies. In his free time, Scott enjoys reading, coaching, watching, and playing sports—especially lacrosse and soccer—and spending time with his family and dogs.
