Rebecca Merrion, 4th & 5th Grade Teacher

Rebecca was born and raised in Fayetteville, Georgia but has been calling Chattanooga home for the past 10 years. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with her Bachelors Degree in Middle Grades Education, also certifying to teach Early Childhood. Rebecca worked as a K4 assistant at Brainerd Baptist, tutored math for several years at McCallie, and most recently taught 6th and 7th grade Math at CCSE. She is excited to bring her love of mathematics into the Brainerd community with a goal to launch our students into Middle School with every tool needed for success.

Rebecca has been married to her husband, Paul since 2009. They have two sons, Peter and Kelly. Rebecca and Paul worship at Calvary Chapel Northside. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading spy novels, playing card games, and being outdoors.

One of her favorite verses is Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
