Lora Thornburg , K2 Teacher

B.S. – University of Tennessee, Chattanooga

Lora is originally from Nashville, Tennessee, but she came to Chattanooga to attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and obtained a degree in child and family studies with a minor in psychology. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling through Liberty University. She has a passion for ministering to children and hopes to work as a counselor for children and families in a private practice setting in the future. When not at work or studying, Lora enjoys visiting local coffee shops, spending time with friends and family, and reading.

Lora attends Brainerd Baptist Church, where she is active in the preschool and children’s ministry. She began working at BBS last year at summer camp and served in aftercare this past year. Lora is excited to help the children learn and grow throughout the year in K2!

One of her favorite verses is Philippians 4:6-7, “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
