Rebecca is from Portland, Tennessee which is known as the strawberry capital of Tennessee. It is a small town north of Nashville on the Kentucky line. She came to Chattanooga to study Early Childhood Education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She immediately fell in love with Chattanooga and can’t imagine living anywhere else. She has her bachelors in Early Childhood Education and her masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a reading emphasis from Carson Newman University.

Rebecca’s began teaching at Brainerd Baptist in 2014. She and her husband are both church members at Brainerd Baptist Church where Rebecca serves in the children's department.
