  • Christmas Break will begin with a half-day on Friday, December 21. 

    • K3 & K4 will dismiss at 11:00.

    • K5 will dismiss at 11:15.

    • 1st -  5th will dismiss at 11:30.

            K3 & K4 will dismiss from their classrooms.  Please remember not to park under the canopy 

            or along the curb.  K5 - 5th grades will dismiss at their regular dismissal lines. 

  • HOLIDAY CARE WILL BE AVAILABLE BY RESERVATION ONLY ON DECEMBER 21, UNTIL 5:30 P.M. Click here to register for holiday care.

  •  Brainerd Baptist School offers need-based financial aid for students in K5 through 5th grade on a yearly basis. Financial aid applications are now being accepted via FACTS.  It is very important for parents to complete the application before January 31.  No late applications will be considered.  Click here for the link and more information.

3rd Grade Overview

December 17-21

BIBLE:  We will delve back into Scripture Memorization after the break. Merry Christmas and thank you for the incredible opportunity to teach Bible to your wonderful children!

READING: We will continue to read Christmas books.

MATH: We will finish our unit on multiplication and division. There will be a test Tuesday, December 18.

Multiplication: We will review the multiplication facts we have gone over so far.

LANGUAGE: We will continue to learn about verbs.  We will be talking about verb tenses

WRITING: The students will work on some Christmas writing.

SPELLING: There will be no Spelling test this week.

SCIENCE: We will be doing some Christmas STEM activities this week.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will present our Christmas Around the World Projects.  All projects are due the 18th.

NOTES:

  • Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack each day.

  • You may want to send a sweater/school sweatshirt, as the rooms can be cold.

  • Don’t forget to sign your child’s planner every night. This lets us know that you have checked their homework.

  • Don’t forget to send in Box Tops!  Remember, 100% of the money comes back to our classroom.

  • If you have a planned vacation, please let us know at least two weeks in advance.
