Chelsey King is excited to teach K4 this year at Brainerd Baptist School. Chelsey was born and raised in Fort Oglethorpe, GA where she graduated from Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School. After graduating, she attended Dalton State College where she obtained her Associate Degree, just after marrying her husband Josiah. Chelsey & Josiah were married in October 2009. In 2010, they moved to Waukesha, WI to attend New Tribes Bible Institute; a Bible college that focuses on Biblical studies and missions. After graduating, they returned home to the Chattanooga area. Chelsey returned to Dalton State College and completed her Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education with ESOL endorsement. Chelsey & Josiah have 3 beautiful children: Liam, Breyana, and Eliyah. Chelsey and her family attend church at Brainerd Baptist Church, where her husband also serves in Missions. Chelsey loves the Lord and is passionate about missions and seeing the nations being reached with the Gospel of Christ. Her life verses are Psalms 96:3-4: “Declare His Glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.” Chelsey is passionate about teaching and considers herself to be a lifelong learner. It was a dream of hers to teach children since she herself was a small child and she has no doubts that this is what the Lord made her to do. Chelsey’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her family. She also loves being outside, spending time with her friends, crafting, cooking, and reading (especially children’s books).
