The Brainerd Baptist School Elementary program is second to none in Chattanooga. Our school works hard to prepare our students to succeed at the best middle/high schools in Chattanooga. There are two main areas that set Brainerd Baptist School apart from many other schools in Chattanooga and they are discussed below.
Our Spiritual Approach
Brainerd Baptist School is a non-denominational Christian school. We are unapologetically Christian in everything we do. We are very intentional in developing a strong Biblical worldview with our students. We believe that this can be done in a way that makes all families comfortable being a part of our school.
Our student body is made up of diverse families representing virtually every denomination. We are missional in our approach and strongly believe that mom and dad are the most important spiritual influences in a child’s life. Our primary goal is not only to educate your child in academic matters, but also to meet their needs spiritually and emotionally. Every day our teachers lead our students in devotion and prayer time. In addition to this, students attend chapel each week and also attend Bible classes twice a week.
Our Academic Approach
Brainerd Baptist School prides itself in being a top academic school in the city. Our successes in this area are very impressive. Each year we celebrate accomplishments of our graduates that encompass a wide array of academic achievements. Recent accomplishments include: valedictorians, salutatorians, Honor Society induction, National Merit finalist, student government officers, all-state honors, and state champions. The curriculum and program that is in place helps ensure that our students are well rounded.
The accelerated approach that is offered at Brainerd Baptist School prepares our students not only to be accepted at the best schools in Chattanooga, but to excel at those schools once they get there. We work very closely with several middle/high schools to ensure that our students are prepared for the next step in their academic careers.

The admission process is designed to be very simple and straightforward. You may request an admission packet by calling the school office or by clicking the "request a packet" link on our site. Once you have reviewed this information, the next step is to tour the school. Tours can be scheduled by calling Robin Morris at 622-3873. Once you have toured the school, you may submit the application.
For 1st-5th grade applicants, we request that applying students spend a day visiting Brainerd Baptist School. Students are asked to be at the school around 8:15 and be picked up around 2:30. The visit gives the student a chance to learn more about Brainerd Baptist School and also meet prospective teachers and classmates. We typically will screen your child sometime during their day while they are visiting with us. The screening process for the 1-5th grade applicants takes around 45 minutes to an hour.
Once the visit and screening are completed, a decision is made in regards to enrollment. Acceptance packets are typically mailed the same week of the visit.
Brainerd Baptist School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin in admission practices or the administration of its educational policies, athletic programs or any other school administered programs.
