Sean M. Corcoran - Headmaster

Sean is beginning his seventh year in administration at Brainerd Baptist School, but began his career at BBS in 1996 while still in college. Born and raised in Manchester, TN, Sean graduated from Coffee County Central High. He worked for a large manufacturing company in Nashville for 2 years before moving to Chattanooga to pursue a degree in education.
Sean began teaching 6th grade at Brainerd Baptist in 1999. In 2001, the BBS middle school moved off the campus and David Brainerd Christian School was born. During his time at DBCS, he taught several different subjects including Math, Science, Bible and Technology. He also coached various sports including boys basketball, golf, soccer and football. Once Sean completed graduate school, he moved into school administration at DBCS. His duties included the oversight of campus expansion that included the construction of a gymnasium, football field and classroom expansion.
In the Spring of 2005, Sean returned to Brainerd Baptist School as Assistant Head of School and was appointed as Headmaster in May of 2006. Sean is currently pursing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. He recently earned his Educational Specialist degree in Administration & Supervision. Sean has served on and chaired numerous accreditation visits for schools in our region with SAIS and AdvancED (SACS). He also serves on various committees for the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools (TAIS) as well as the steering committee for the Southeast Christian School Consortium.
Sean married his high school sweetheart, Katrina and they have three children; Andrew and Aaron, both middle school students at McCallie, and Abigail, a 3rd grader at BBS. In his free time, Sean enjoys spending time with his family, listening to books, playing basketball, softball and tennis. He also enjoys going to Knoxville with his sons to watch his beloved Tennessee Volunteers football and basketball teams.

Cathy Creed - Assistant Head of School

Cathy is beginning her sixth year at Brainerd Baptist School. She has over 30 years experience in Christian education and has served in many different capacities including classroom teacher (grades 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th), resource teacher, principal, academic dean, adjunct professor (on the collegiate level), and also as a consultant for the National Institute for Learning Development.
Cathy was born into a Christian home and came to know the Lord at an early age. She has one brother who is also a local educator. She met and married her husband Dan while attending Tennessee Temple University, and they will celebrate 40 years of marriage in December. They have four married children and nine grandchildren. Cathy and Dan are leaders in the Celebrate Recovery ministry of Brainerd Baptist Church and Cathy works in the children's ministry Sunday School rotation. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, and searching for baseball memorabilia with her husband.
Bradley Chambers - Director of Information Technology

Bradley came to Brainerd Baptist School in October of 2009. He came to BBS after spending 5 years in the telecommunications industry. He is a graduate of Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe high school in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Management from Covenant College. He also has been recently certified by Apple as a Macintosh Technician.
He is married to Leah and they have a son (Sawyer). They have 3 dogs (2 pugs and 1 english bulldog) and also volunteer with the Southeast Pug Rescue Association. Bradley also enjoys Georgia football games, audiobooks, black coffee, Apple products, and running. Bradley and Leah have served at Brainerd Baptist Church since early 2007. Mrs. Laura Harvey - Financial Secretary

B.S. - University of Tennessee, Chattanooga
Laura is beginning her second year as the financial secretary of Brainerd Baptist School. Prior to coming on staff, Laura served on the Brainerd Baptist School board for many years. She is married to Marshall, a local CPA, and they have two sons, Scott, a 10th grader at McCallie, and Rob, a 8th grader also at McCallie. The Harvey's are longtime members of Brainerd Baptist Church and they teach 3 year olds in Sunday School.
Rhonda Hinkle - School Secretary
Rhonda has worked at BBS for 11 years. Working with the teachers and children are her favorite parts of the job. Rhonda also helps Mrs. Haren as co-sponsor of our student council. She is so thankful to get to work for Sean Corcoran. She is married to Jeff, and they have a son, Garrett, who is in the 10th grade at Chattanooga Christian School.
Robin Morris - Administrative Assistant to the Head of School
Robin was born and raised in Chattanooga. As the daughter of a pastor and a teacher, she has been involved in working with children all of her life. Robin attended Tennessee Temple University and later transferred to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Robin and her husband, Nick, have been married for 24 wonderful years. Zachariah, 19, is a sophomore at Bryan College and will be working as an intern at Bayside Baptist Church beginning this fall. Abigail, 14, is in the 9th grade at Silverdale Baptist Academy. Robin and her family attend Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison. Nick is a deacon and is involved in the music ministry while Robin works with the PrayZChoir, (Bayside’s middle/high school choir).
Robin’s family enjoys riding bikes, hiking at Fall Creek Falls and just spending time together. Robin has been a staff member for 15 years and is the Administrative Secretary. Her future plans are to travel with her husband on a Harley-Davidson and enjoy God’s beautiful world. Lamentations 3:22-24...“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait on him.”
Julie Prescott - Director of Development

Julie starts her first year at Brainerd Baptist School as Director of Development. She holds a BS in Business Administration concentrating in finance from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as well. Julie pursued a business career while in college by working at Blue Cross Blue Shield and then at Interfederal Savings Banks as a loan department assistant. During her senior year of college she also completed an internship at Prudential-Bache Securities in Chattanooga. While investments were her first passion, Julie pursued a slightly different path and went to work as an analyst at Provident Life and Accident Insurance Company. For the next eleven years she worked in various marketing and management roles in the Group Health, Life and Disability, Voluntary Benefits and Individual Disability departments. Her most recent role was as Director of Product Development and Implementation – Individual Products. In 2000, Julie took on a new role and became a stay-at-home mom. She and her husband, Kyle, have three children. Hannah will be a 6th grader at GPS this fall and Andrew and Abby Claire are here at BBS.
Over the years, Julie has enjoyed the opportunity to serve on various community boards and as a member of Brainerd Baptist Church where she is currently a Sunday School Shepherd in the Children’s Department. A significant amount of her volunteer time has been focused on fund raising activities. Julie enjoys exercising, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She hopes to have some time at some point to improve her tennis and golf games and to learn to sew. For now, she encourages her children with their sports and activities. Julie’s favorite scripture is Isaiah 40:30-31
Annette Randolph - K3 Assistant, Office Assistant

Annette Randolph has been with Brainerd Baptist School, both as a K3 assistant and in the Administrative Offices, for 8 years. Annette has 4 children. One married daughter Amanda, Alyson age 15, Zachary age 13 and Abigail age 11. Alyson and Zachary are graduates of BBS who now are in the 9th and 7th grades at Hixon Middle and High. Abigail is currently a 5th grader at BBS. Annette, also has a 3 year old granddaughter Emma.
In her spare time Annette loves to read, scrapbook, photography and watching Alabama football.
Annette feels very fortunate to be affiliated with an institution such as BBS , which provides an excellent Christian based education for our children.
Michelle Richardson - Early Childhood Secretary

Chattanooga has been home to Michelle her entire life. After graduating from Central High School, she attended UTC. Before coming to Brainerd Baptist, Michelle worked in the accounting department of a local retail store and also as a pre-school teacher at Silverdale Baptist Preschool. Michelle is beginning her 12th year at BBS. Michelle is married to Chris Richardson and they have two daughters. Kaitlyn is an 11th grader at GPS and Kristin is in the 8th grade at GPS.
The Richardson's live on campus at The McCallie School where Chris is a teacher, football coach, and head baseball coach. They are also dorm "parents" to a group of boarding students. Michelle and her family are active members of Bayside Baptist Church. Michelle calls herself a "sports wife and mom". She spends a great deal of time at sporting events for McCallie, GPS and the Fury fastpitch sotball team.
Ginny Young - Guidance Counselor/Assistant Head of School

B.S. - Tennessee Tech Univeristy
M.S. - University of Tennessee, Chattanooga
Mary Virginia Wallace Young (Ginny), a native Chattanoogan, attended the Tennessee Technological University with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She attended the University of Tennessee where she received a Master Degree in Guidance and Counseling and has additional hours in Administration. Her 43 years in education include eighteen years at East Brainerd Elementary as a teacher, twelve at St. Nicholas School as a teacher and curriculum coordinator and twelve at Hickory Valley Christian School as Principal. She has been married to Paul Young for 43 years and has a son, Blake, 28 who lives in Charleston, SC. Mrs. Ginny is beginning her second year at BBS.
