Fourth Grade Overview

BIBLE: James 1:5 - “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” Today is the last verse test of the year.
READING: We are finishing our Illustrations unit and will be reading from the 5th grade summer reading list for the remainder of the year. The performance test for this unit is waived. All children have now completed the vocabulary and skills test for this unit.
ENGLISH: We are reviewing parts of speech.
SPELLING: All children have completed the last Spelling test of the year.
MATH: We will be reviewing concepts from the year.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We will be working on The Planets.
SPANISH: Students will be tested on the 3rd section of the Lord’s Prayer in Spanish on Wednesday, May 15. (Students were provided with a copy of the prayer divided into sections and showing the due date for knowing each. A copy of this same sheet is posted outside of my classroom). Students are also practicing common everyday phrases and reviewing numbers.
The last section test will be on Wednesday, May 22nd. This test will be given in the homeroom class.
