Math: Skills:  Identify geometric solids, measure and draw line segments using centimeters, multiply by 1 and 100.  

Facts:  Subtracting 8

*Written Assessment 20: Wed., Feb. 8th

 

Language: Chapter 11 - Pronouns

 

Reading: We are starting the next reading unit.

Story Structure: Hernandez

Summarization: Garmon

Main Idea: Hall

 

Spelling: Unit 21:  Spelling /k/ and /qu/ sounds

*Test: Fri., Feb. 3rd

 

Science: Weather and the Water Cycle

They will learn another fun song to help them remember what they’ve learned!

 

Social Studies: Black History

The students will learn about important black history figures.  There will be a project due on Friday, February 17th.  Details came home last week.

 

REMINDERS AND NOTES:

*Class Group Pictures are TOMORROW.   Students need to be in uniform.

 

*Valentine Boxes - Your child should bring in a shoebox covered in white, red, or pink paper with a hole cut in the top for candy and cards.   Please wrap the top and bottom separately.  We will decorate them in the classroom.  These are due by Wednesday. 

 

*Valentine Parties are Thursday, Feb. 9th, which is a HALF DAY.

 

*Fall Break is Thurs., Feb. 9th (half day) - Mon., Feb. 13th.  School will resume Tues., Feb. 14th.
