Monday, April 24, we will have a Farewell Reception to honor Mrs. Stromberg, Mrs. Garmon, and Mrs. Kell. The reception will be from 3:30-5:00 in the foyer of the Childrens’ Department

Due to end of the year scheduling, there will be no Chick-fil-A orders for Friday, April 28 through the last day of school in May.

April 27 & 28 will be Spring Picture Days. Check with your homeroom teacher for which day your student’s classroom will be photographed.

Muffins for Moms is Friday, April 28. Moms are invited to join us for breakfaststarting at 7:30 a.m. until 8:10 a.m.

Summer Review Workbook – Monday, May 1, last day to order!!

Order forms for Vacation Stations review workbooks were sent home Tuesday with students in K5 through 5th. Children complete only two pages per day of math,language and reading skills through the summer months.Check out samples in both school offices.Return order form with payment ($17.25 made out to BBS) by May 1.

STUCO will be collecting coke can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.

Please send these to the office.

Childcare for these dates:

May 5 - Early dismissal day (11:00 K3, K4; 11:15 K5; 11:30 1st-5th)

May 19 - K3, K4 following program until 6:00 p.m.

May 22-25 - K3, K4 early room open and then to room #18 from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

May 25 - K5 following graduation until 6:00 p.m.

May 26 – No Childcare

Students must sign up online.

3rd Grade Overview

April 24-28

BIBLE:  The verse test will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.  Students will be tested on Psalms 23:4-6.

READING: We will start our new unit on Compare and Contrast.

MATH: We will continue to learn about area and perimeter.

LANGUAGE:  We will continue to learn about Adverbs. This week we will be talking about adverbs that compare.

WRITING: We will continue to work on our Fairy Tale writing.

SPELLING: We will be studying Unit 29 words. The test will be on Friday, April 28. You can log on to spelling city to practice: http://www.spellingcity.com/jkrobinson/.  

SCIENCE:  We will finish our Simple Machine unit. The test will be on Monday, April 24. We will start a new unit on Landforms on Thursday.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will be starting to learn our Fifty States and Four Regions. The first region that we will be learning is the Southern Region.  The test will be on Thursday, April 27 over the Southern Region States.

Upcoming Events:

May 17 - AR Party (Your child must have their 40 AR points to be able to go on this trip.)

May 23 - End of the Year Party


Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack each day.

You may want to send a sweater/school sweatshirt, as the rooms can be cold.

Don’t forget to send in your Box Tops.
